Does history seem to repeat itself. From natures point of view, anything that sprouts from the earth will eventually be absorbed back into the ground. It’s the cycle of life. Same with the nature of mankind, it has always been the same and always will be, the only differences in it are the developed technology, which change the way we display this nature. "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them." - Albert Einstein. Not to get religious but the Bible, Torah, Koran and majority of spiritual holy books have written down stories telling the history of the world. That's why if you read carefully you notice the same story is written /told in many different versions and they all speak the same warnings about what will happen if we continue down the same path. But the misconception is that these predictions are foretelling of things to come but that is not the case. What it is telling us is that the same sets of events that have happened before countless time before that has lead to a breakdown of society and it will happen again unless we as a collective change and go about things in a different way. So maybe the religious people are right that the end of days will come but not by the hand of God or Satan but by our own hands. To us that are used to living in a easy type of way with fast access to food, advanced medicine, clean water and ability to communicate, travel and receive information I believe that it will seem like the end of the world if our system is destroyed. There will be chaos and in times of crisis, panic from the people may lead to irrational decisions and thinking that may sacrifice both our fundamental freedoms and structural limitations; This may lead to the majorities of our self-governing society give little consideration to legitimate needs and interests of political, religious, racial, and other minorities which leads to prejudice, hostility, and intolerance of people.

In the beginning, man was given the ability to create. We are sub-creators of what surrounds us. To have dominion over all of man's handy work. Today, in our generation, we design, innovate, and formulate all to make this world a better place. We design products that will make our lives more bearable. Our goal is to make our daily lives as comfortable as possible. So we transform, we depend on the past to understand our limits and to set our future goals. We push our abilities to the limit, we expand on an idea that will bring forth succession, because that is what drives us. To be heard, to be seen and praised for the works that were provided. Society today conforms rather than transforms to what is really needed. We expand only on the ideas that will make our own lives more snug. What we allow ourselves to see and experience has a powerful impact on our future. Whatever we think about on a daily basis is what affects us, whatever you and I focus on is what we become. If we want to prosper in this world, we must realize that our own abilities, our own works cannot bring progress in our lives and others if we do not succumb to the fact that if we continue allowing ourselves to be shaped and conformed to the patterns of this world, or our inner being will surely perish. We cannot rely on merely our own works to survive. We dull our minds when we feel the need to please other crowds. We become someone that they wish us to be. Our originality leaves us when we try so hard to fit into others standards. We care so much on what other people’s opinions are when we can’t even stand the opinion of ourselves. Many great empires have so often relied on their own strengths to gain more power. All empires were glorious and influential in their own ways. They thrived and praised themselves on their God-given abilities and talents. Thinking that they could become the all powerful, all mighty beings they so longed for, they pushed harder and further to reach their ultimate goal. Total domination and surrender from their enemies, to obliterate all that stood in their way of their ambition. You fight for what you stand for, and get knocked down and continue to get back up and continue on your way or stay down and admit defeat knowing that you alone cannot reach your full potential that you wish to accomplish. Is Every Great Civilization Destined To Collapse?
There can be many different aspects that could lead to the collapse of an empire. From natural disaster like earthquakes and floods, to loss of resources; soil erosion, deforestation or our own destruction caused by human conflict, war, uprising that may lead to the particular society's downfall. It’s almost a rule in society, that whatever goes up, must come down. So whatever rises, must fall eventually. Roman Empire
To have a civilization conquered is not necessarily to have it end. Even if it ends, the culture behind it continues. Nature’s evolutionary design has crafted in our behaviour traits which bring them to an end. These traits are nature’s pawns, to produce cycles of change. |
